Many people in the St. Louis area claim to have heard of this road.
Although there has been some confusion on exactly which “Zombie Road” we
investigate, due to the generality of the roads name. This road is actually
located in Ellisville, MO. I have also heard of Weber road being
called “Zombie Road.”
One story, (I stress, story!) goes like this: Late one evening,
a gentleman was walking near the railroad tracks on his way home. Unaware
that a train was approaching, the man continued down the tracks. As he
reached a bend in the tracks, near the road, he was caught between two
rail road ties then struck and killed. It is said that he now haunts the
area. At this time we are unaware that this story is true.
I have also heard of a small clap board house at the end of the road where
an old woman haunts the area. She is said to scream and shoot at passer
byes. This story is a little far fetched. If anyone has any true
information on this road, please let us know.
We do have some true information on the road, however. This road has
been in the area for over eighty years. It was an outlet for horse and
carriage buggies. The area near the road is under construction, due to
a growing subdivision.
THE INVESTIGATION
Upon investigation of the road odd sounds and mysterious lights have been
encountered. EMF readings and EVP recording are planned for the area.
We don’t have too much to go on at this time, hopefully something will
develop soon.
